Celebrating supports: Neck Deep
Everyone has to start somewhere, and at the OVO Arena Wembley we have nothing but love for our special guests. The unsung heroes, the underappreciated maestros, these are... your supports.
Who: Neck Deep
When: 25 February 2023
With: Yungblud
Wrexham's greatest export since coal, Neck Deep brought a touch of stardom to the city in North Wales long before Rob Mcelhenney and Ryan Reynolds took over the football club.
Formed in 2012, the pop punks' have just celebrated 10 years of bringing unashamedly anthemic earworms to the masses. Starting with a 'What Did You Expert' released online, the band have gone from playing to 200 sweaty bodies in a friends garage in Florida, to headlining 5000 capacity venues and supporting Blink 182. Their latest album 'All Distortions Are Intentional' reached number 1 in the UK Rock & Metal charts, and saw the band scale new heights, getting rave reviews in the likes of Dead Press and Kerrang.
Newest single (released 14 February) 'Heartbreak Of The Century' is a catchy angst ridden callback to the bands early sound in the best way possible and is a follow up to 2022's 'STFU', which compounded pounding drum beats and gnashing guitar riffs to create something addictively listenable.
The band currently consists of Ben Barlow, Matt West, Sam Bowden, and Seb Barlow.
Could a headline show at the OVO Arena Wembley be on the horizon? You wouldn't bet against them.
