Over 1400 talented young singers and instrumentalists from the London borough of Brent have been given the opportunity to perform a musical showcase at the world-leading venue of OVO Arena Wembley at 7.00pm on Wednesday 27th June 2018.
Brent Makes Music 2018 – Music of the Future and Music of the Past, presented by Brent Music Service, offers a musical extravaganza with performances from a 1000-voice Brent Massed Primary Schools Choir, a record number of BMS Ensembles, a world premiere of a new composition by young songwriter Theo Laird, and welcomes Brent Young Musician of the Year winner, Anna Sinko-Uribe, as special guest soloist for the evening.
Presented by Brent Music Service, this biennial event has earned an enviable reputation for its imaginative programmes and innovative presentation, and this year is no exception. Embracing the event’s theme of Music of the Future and Music of the Past the evening includes an eclectic mix of Classical, Jazz, Gospel, Rock, Original, Pop, Traditional and Bollywood – literally something for everyone, and a clear demonstration of the borough’s diverse musical talent which should be fully celebrated.
