OVO Arena Wembley to host Heavyweight World Title clash as crowds return to boxing
Matchroom Boxing are delighted to announce that 1,000 fans will be in attendance for Anthony Joshua OBE’s defence of his IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO Heavyweight World Titles against Mandatory Challenger Kubrat Pulev at OVO Arena Wembley on Saturday December 12, following approval for a crowd from local authorities.
Fight fans will have the opportunity to watch unified king Joshua fight on home soil for the first time in over two years, with tickets priced at £100, £200, £300, £500 and £1,000 available to purchase via AXS (www.axs.com) and StubHub (www.Stubhub.co.uk) on Friday December 4 at 10.00am, as spectators are welcomed back to live boxing for the first time since March.
Strict safety measures and guidelines will be in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19:
- Tickets should be purchased from AXS or StubHub, and cannot be resold. Tickets purchased from other agents or bought as resale tickets from AXS or StubHub will not be admitted.
- The lead booker must only attend the event with members of their own household or support bubble. Photo ID and address may be required as proof.
- We are participating in the NHS Test and Trace scheme. Lead booker details will be collected and shared in line with the legal guidelines for the Test and Trace scheme and every customer must provide their contact details to the venue by either the customer providing this data to the venue or checking in to the venue using the official NHS QR code.
- You must not attend the event if you have tested positive for Covid-19, are required to self-isolate or have suffered from Covid-19 symptoms within 14 days of the event.
- You must wear a face covering from arrival to the venue, queuing to enter and at all times inside the building unless medically exempt or under 11 years of age or when consuming food and drink at your seat. If you are medically exempt you must instead wear a visor and we do ask that you download a medical exemption card available from gov.uk online and have this available to show during your visit.
- No rucksacks will be permitted within the venue, there are no provisions for storage, please ensure your bag complies with our venue bag policy.
- At the end of the event you will be asked to leave the venue row by row in your block as directed by your steward. Your patience and cooperation in helping us keep everyone (and you) as safe as possible is appreciated.
Joshua (23-1, 21 KOs) vs. Pulev (28-1, 14 KOs) tops a huge night of action in London promoted by Matchroom Boxing in association with Top Rank and Epic Sports and Entertainment, with all of the action shown live on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK and on DAZN in the U.S. and more than 200 countries and territories on its just-launched Global platform, as Lawrence Okolie (14-0, 11 KOs) takes on Krzysztof Glowacki (31-2, 19 KOs) for the vacant WBO Cruiserweight World Title, Manchester Heavyweight Hughie Fury (24-3, 14 KOs) returns against Poland’s Mariusz Wach (36-6, 19 KOs), Martin Bakole (15-1, 12 KOs) and Sergey Kuzmin (15-1, 11 KOs) fight for the vacant WBC International Heavyweight Title, Souleymane Cissoko (11-0, 7 KOs) takes on Kieron Conway (15-1-1, 3 KOs) in a ten round Super-Welterweight clash, Ramla Ali (1-0) faces Vanesa Caballero (3-9-3) in her second professional fight and Leeds Super-Bantamweight Qais Ashfaq (8-1, 3 KOs) looks to return to winning ways against Ashley Lane (14-9-2, 1 KO).

The fight which was originally planned for The O2 arena, has been moved to OVO Arena Wembley due to promoter logistics.

Before you travel to the venue
You will need the following free apps so please download these in advance:
OVO Arena Wembley Venue App
- Food and beverages will only be available via the venue app (bars will only be used for collection and not sales).
- You will need the app to display tickets on your phone if you bought from AXS.
We are also participating in the NHS Test and Trace scheme. NHS APP
- You will be asked to scan QR code to check into the venue on arrival. Please download the app in advance ready for this.
Plan your journey / book free parking
We recommend planning your journey in advance for the safest and easiest route to the venue. Please aim to travel direct to the Wembley Park estate with minimal impact on our neighbours in the local community.

Public Transport
If using underground or overground train lines, Wembley Park Underground Station (Jubilee and Metropolitan Lines) or Wembley Stadium Station (Chiltern Line from Marylebone to Birmingham) are our closest stations.

Terms of entry
This is a socially distanced event. By purchasing tickets to the event, you have agreed to comply with the most up to date guidance and legislation relating to Covid-19 in place at the time of event which can be found HERE. In accordance with the current guidance, you should comply with the following rules:
Arriving at the venue and queuing
- You must wear a face covering from arrival to the venue, queuing to enter and at all times inside the building unless any of the Government exemptions apply to you (which are set out HERE) or when consuming food and drink at your seat. If you are exempt from wearing a face covering, you should instead wear a visor and we ask that you carry an exemption card or badge to show during your visit.
- Please go to the entrance marked on your ticket. The venue will be split into separate zones.
- Please scan QR code to check in on the NHS COVID-19 APP and be ready to show your check in on entrance.
Entry and security
- Tickets need to have been purchased from AXS or StubHub, and cannot be resold. Tickets purchased from other agents or bought as resale tickets from AXS or StubHub will not be admitted.
- Please have your AXS tickets ready to display on the venue app.
- The lead booker must only attend the event with members of their own household or support bubble. Photo ID and address may be required as proof.
- Groups must arrive together with the lead booker.
- We are participating in the NHS Test and Trace scheme. Lead booker details will be collected and shared in line with the legal guidelines for the Test and Trace scheme and every customer must provide their contact details to the venue by either the customer providing this data to the venue or checking in to the venue using the official NHS QR code.
- You must not attend the event if you have tested positive for Covid-19, are required to self-isolate or have suffered from Covid-19 symptoms within 14 days of the event. Please contact your point of purchase ASAP if this is the case to arrange a refund.
- As you will be aware, there are different local restrictions in place in the UK depending on where you are living or spending most of your time. If you are restricted from attending the event due to the rules or guidance that apply in your area, please contact your point of purchase as soon as possible and before the event to arrange a refund.
- Your safety remains paramount, we operate enhanced security procedures and searches will be happening in COVID-19 secure way – your patience will be appreciated.
- No rucksacks will be permitted within the venue, there are no provisions for storage, please ensure your bag complies with our venue bag policy – no larger than a standard rucksack size of approximately 35(W)x17(D)x42(H) cm.
Food & Beverage
- Beverage order limits are set at the number of people in your household/bubble, and can only be purchased via the venue app (you will be told when your order is ready to collect – please don’t go to the concourses before this.
- Food and beverage can only be consumed when sitting at your seats. This is the only time you should remove your face covering or visor.
- In line with current restrictions, the latest closing time for bars is 9.45pm.
Concourse access
- Food & beverages may not be consumed on concourses – you are asked to keep moving along unless you are queuing for toilets or food & beverage collection. Please minimise your time here by using them in this way.
Seating and exiting the venue
- You will be seated in households/bubbles, with appropriate distancing between groups.
- At the end of the event you will be asked to leave the venue row by row in your block as directed by your steward. Your patience and cooperation in helping us keep everyone (and you) as safe as possible is appreciated.
Be kind - Please act and only consume alcohol responsibly. Be considerate to other visitors, giving them time and space move around the venue, and understand they may have different requirements to yours.
